There’s still a lot to be done, and the areas below are where you’ve told me we need to focus our efforts in the 2007 legislative session. Here’s what still lies ahead:
• We need more transportation funding sources
• Toll road truck route around Boulder City
• Shortening commutes will save time, money and air
• Facilitate licensure of medical personnel
• Encourage more private & public medical treatment to come to Nevada
• Help small business to afford insurance
• Empower principals to handle budgets & curriculum
• Accountability of performance by schools
• Identity theft criminals punished
• Immigration:
• Secure Borders
• Learn English
• Legal ID system
• Pay Fair Share
• Protect Our Economy
• Infrastructure is aging and needs attention; growth needs to pay for growth
• Protection for our homes and homeland
• Preparations in family, neighborhoods and government should be real and meaningful
